Payment Terms

  • 20% is charged at the time of reservation.
  • 40% must be paid 130 days before the expedition.
  • 40% must be paid 70 days before the expedition.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation must be made through the email info@malpelotours.com. Reservations cannot be considered as canceled until Malpelo Tours is notified about it and provides a response.

  • The deposit (20%) guarantees the reservation of the expedition for the agreed dates. This value will not be refunded, but the client has up to 180 days before the expedition to change the date established for departure. Changes may be made according to the availability of seats on the new chosen date.
  • 60% of the total value will be charged if the expedition is canceled by the client between 60 and 120 days before the expedition.
  • 100% of the total value will be charged if the trip is canceled by the client less than 60 days before the expedition.

Liability and Damage

Divers are responsible for meeting all the necessary requirements for the activity. Malpelo Tours recommends that all divers carry out a check before making the expedition. Divers must notify in writing if they have any mental or physical problems. Please inform if you are taking any medication or if you suffer from any allergies.

All divers must fill out the Release of Liability form. Please read it and let us know if you have any questions or comments.

Diving in Malpelo is done in the midst of wild animals and to avoid injuries or a negative impact on the ecosystem, the Code of Good Practices must be followed, which will be explained by a member of National Parks. People who act irresponsibly can affect their fellow divers and the diving community in general. Therefore, illegal, unsafe or irresponsible behavior will not be tolerated.

Malpelo Tours will not be responsible for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience that may be presented to passengers, directly or indirectly due to catastrophic events, acts of government, strikes, protests or failure of machinery and equipment.

Malpelo Tours, its employees, agents and contractors will not be responsible for any injury, loss, accident, delay, omission, irregularity or default that occurs in connection with our services. Passengers/divers understand and accept all risks associated with each activity, including land, sea, and air transportation, as well as swimming, snorkeling, diving, and sailing.
